A-Pal Humane Society
A-PAL Humane Society is a local non-profit founded in 1978 and formed to assure the humane treatment of animals in Amador County. Your contributions to A-PAL in 2020 helped us to spay/neuter 1094 cats and kittens and 214 puppies and dogs. We were able to pull 448 cats and kittens from our shelter, provide foster and health services and adopt them into loving homes. Also, 119 community cats were pulled, spay/neutered, vaccinated, and adopted into barn homes. With your support, 5 dogs with behavior problems were pulled, trained and adopted too. 18 shelter animals received life-saving procedures such as heartworm treatment or surgery. We have worked with shelter staff and volunteers to take our shelter intake from 2400 animals in 1988 with a save rate of 15% to only 865 animals in 2020 with a save rate of 88%. With your support, we believe we can do even better. Thank you for helping us help the animals of Amador County and the people who care about them. www.pawspartners.org
